AC Milan’s 27 unbeaten run in the Serie A came to an end at the hands of Juventus last week. The Rossoneri were outclassed by the reigning champions in a 3-1 loss at home.  

Despite that setback, Milan remained on top of the table and bounced back in the best possible way. A 2-0 win against Torino saw the Rossoneri return to the winners list. 

Rafael Leao opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a well worked goal before Franck Kessie doubled Milan’s lead from the penalty spot.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned after an eight game absence off the bench against Torino and could start here. 

Midfielder Sandro Tonali who was stretchered off on Saturday is feared to have ruptured his achilles. 

Spanish forward Brahim Diaz was another casualty as he was forced off midway through the second half.

Torino’s form has been mixed as they struggle to keep afloat in Serie A. They went unbeaten in four matches including a 1-1 draw against Bologna and 1-1 draw at Napoli.

Marco Giampaolo's side won 3-0 at Parma with Wilfried Stephane Singo, Armando Izzo and Amer Gojak on target. Torino then drew 1-1 against Hellas Verona thanks to a late Bremer strike.

Torino went down 2-0 to league leaders AC Milan on Saturday. They could only manage 0.37 expected goals and have now lost 13 of their last 19 away matches in Serie A.

Torino come in relatively injury free for this clash. Zaza is expected to return to the starting line-up after he was excluded from last week’s squad in the loss to Milan.
