Man City vs West Ham Predictions

City look unstoppable on current form and extended their winning streak to 19 in all competitions on Wednesday. The Hammers are also in good form but have struggled at the Etihad in recent years. City should be too good.

  • Man City have won 19 consecutive matches (all competitions).
  • Man City have won to nil in their last 7 home matches (all competitions).
  • Man City have seen over 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 6 matches (all competitions).
  • Man City have scored at 2+ goals in 10 of their last 12 home matches against West Ham (all competitions).
  • West Ham have lost their last 4 away matches against Man City (Premier League).
  • West Ham have not scored in their last 2 away matches (all competitions).
  • West Ham have seen over 2.5 goals in 6 of their last 7 matches (Premier League).

These two sides have faced each other 113 times and City have a 58-37 advantage over West Ham, with 18 matches ending in a draw.

West Ham drew against City for the first time in 11 games when the two sides met in the reverse fixture in October 2020.

The Hammers took an early lead through Michail Antonio in the first-half, but Phil Foden equalised for City in the second period.

Man City Form

Man City have won 19 consecutive games in all competitions following a 2-0 win away at Borussia Monchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Goals from Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus put City in control of the tie.
Pep Guardiola’s side are undefeated in their last 17 Premier League matches, winning 15 and drawing two.

At the Etihad, City have lost once in all competitions this season and have won their last seven games at home without conceding a goal.

Man City Injuries and Team News

Nathan Ake is City’s only absentee ahead of the West Ham match. The defender remains out long-term with a hamstring injury.

Pep Guardiola could make several changes to the side that beat Monchengladbach on Wednesday with Kevin de Bruyne and Fernandinho rested for that match.

John Stones and Riyad Mahrez are also likely to return to the starting XI against West Ham this weekend.

West Ham Form

West Ham have lost just two of their last 14 matches in all competitions and have won nine of their last 12.

The Hammers have taken 23 points from their last 27 available in the Premier League, winning seven of their last nine to mount a push for European qualification.

David Moyes’ side maintained their run of form with a 2-1 win over Tottenham last Sunday. Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard got the goals.

West Ham have only failed to score in four of their 25 league games this season.

West Ham Injuries and Team News

Defenders Angelo Ogbonna and Arthur Masuaku are ruled out for West Ham along with forward Andriy Yarmolenko.

Michail Antonio and Pablo Fornals returned to the starting XI against Tottenham last weekend and should also start against City.

David Moyes changed from the 3-4-2-1 formation to a 4-2-3-1 against Spurs last weekend and he could use this flat back four again to try and stifle City’s attack this weekend.
