Sevilla have qualified for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, but will the La Liga side sign off with a win in this dead rubber? Rennes have been eliminated and also have nothing to play for in the final game in Group E.

Four straight defeats and just a single point through the campaign mean that Rennes are guaranteed to finish bottom of Group E, regardless of what happens at Roazhon Park on Tuesday.

Julien Stephan’s side started this Champions League campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Krasnodar. But they subsequently lost to Sevilla (1-0), Chelsea (3-0 and 2-1) and Krasnodar (1-0) last week.

Things haven't been any better in Ligue 1, with three losses and a draw in their last four matches on the domestic front. Rennes lost 2-0 at home to Lens at the weekend with a disgruntled Stephan making four changes at half-time.

Rennes have a host of absentees with goalkeeper Alfred Gomis, centre-backs Nayef Aguerd and Daniele Rugani and striker Serhou Guirassy among those ruled out.

Sevilla saw their hopes of finishing top of the group dashed as they were thumped 4-0 at home by Chelsea last week. That heavy defeat ended a five-game winning run in all competitions for Julen Lopetegui's side.

Having started the Champions League with a 0-0 draw against Chelsea, victories over Rennes (1-0) and Krasnodar (3-2 and 2-1) had left last week's match as a group winner decider.

It was a sorry evening for Sevilla at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan as Olivier Giroud scored all four goals for Chelsea. That defeat means the La Liga side will finish in second spot.

Sevilla's three-match winning run in La Liga also came to an end as they lost 1-0 at home to Real Madrid on Saturday. Sevilla dominated possession, but goalkeeper Bono spilled the ball into his own net to hand Real Madrid the points.

Midfielder Joan Jordan sits out the game through suspension. He is joined by goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik and defenders Sergio Escudero and Marcos Acuna with all three still injured.

The absence of Vaclik means Bono will continue in goal despite his weekend mishap. Julen Lopetegui is, however, likely to make a number of changes for the dead rubber trip to France.
