Ronald Koeman’s side competed in the Spanish Super Cup last week. Barcelona got past Real Sociedad in the semi-final, prevailing in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 1-1 draw following extra time.

Barcelona looked set to lift the trophy after leading Athletic Bilbao 2-1 in the 90th minute. They conceded a late equaliser and again in extra time with Lionel Messi getting sent off.

Barcelona remain without injured centre-back Gerard Piqué, right back Moussa Wagué and the versatile Sergi Roberto.

Attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho and forward Ansu Fati are also injured.

Expect Koeman to make changes here after two tough matches in the Super Cup. Midfielder Miralem Pjanic is set to return to the starting side alongside winger Trincão and striker Martin Braithwaite.
