Barcelona host Levante in La Liga on Sunday. Can the Catalan club make it 18 consecutive home wins against Levante?

Barcelona Form

Barcelona are struggling in La Liga, winning four of their opening 10 matches and way off the pace. The Catalans suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Cadiz in their last league match.

Ronald Koeman's side fell behind from a corner, equalised through an own goal but fell behind again from a defensive blunder. Barcelona had 82% possession and 21-7 shots but shot themselves in the foot with central defenders Óscar Mingueza and Clément Lenglet making errors leading to goals.

Barcelona qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stage. They won their opening five matches with 16 goals scored and two conceded, losing 3-0 at home to Juventus on Tuesday.

Once again it was defensive errors from their centre-backs. They conceded two penalties and had 19-9 shots, Lionel Messi with 11 of them including all 7 on target.

Barcelona Team News

Barcelona continue to miss injured centre-back Gerard Pique. Samuel Umtiti came off the bench against Juventus and should start here.

The versatile Sergi Roberto is injured alongside attackers Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembélé.

Expect Philippe Coutinho to return to the starting side against Levante.

Levante Form

Levante had a poor start to the season but are undefeated in their last six matches. The Frogs drew 1-1 in five straight matches against Celta Vigo, Granada, Deportivo Alaves, Elche and Real Valladolid.

Paco López 's side won 3-0 at home against Getafe in their last match. Roger Martí opened the scoring with the visitors reduced to 10 men in the 7th minute.

Levante cruised to victory from there with Dani Gómez and Jorge de Frutos putting the result beyond doubt.

Levante Team News

Levante are missing injured midfielders Cheick Doukouré, José Campaña and winger Enis Bardhi.
