A place in the last four is up for grabs as PSG battle Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Both teams have played some fine attacking football in the competition and are among the most prolific so far. However, there has been a steely determination with the Parisians lately and they should continue their quest to add the global title to their European crown.

PSG reached the quarter-finals after easing to a 4-0 victory over Inter Miami in the round of 16. They were largely untroubled throughout the contest, with Joao Neves netting a brace while Achraf Hakimi was also on target.

Bayern Munich also had a four goal haul in their round of 16 clash, claiming a 4-2 victory over Monterrey. They were made to work hard by the Mexican side but a brace from Harry Kane and a long range effort from Leon Goretzka helped them on their way to victory.

Like the Parisians, Bayern Munich have also lost once in the competition, a 1-0 defeat to Benfica in their final group stage fixture. Vincent Kompany's men have won three of their four matches and began their campaign with a 10-0 victory over Auckland City.

That victory over Auckland City set the tone for Bayern Munich, who have scored the most goals in the competition, with 16 strikes so far. Three of their four matches have produced over 2.5 goals while they are without a clean sheet in their last three fixtures.

Bayern Munich have the upper hand in this fixture and have seven wins from nine previous matches while PSG have earned just two victories. Both teams met in the league phase of last season’s Champions League, with the Germans picking up a 1-0 victory.
