England face a tough start to the defence of their UEFA European Women's Championship as they battle France in their opening Group D fixture.

The defending champions have endured a turbulent time in the build-up to the tournament while things have been smooth for the French. Both teams are among the best attacking sides around and could be set to serve up goals here.

France come into the tournament as one of the most in-form teams in Europe. They finished as the only side with a 100% record in the league phase of the Nations League, winning Group A2 to qualify for the finals.
