Wolves are 14th in the English Premier League, their worst start to a season since returning to the top division four seasons ago.

Much of Wolves' lack of form can be put down to the absence of star forward Raul Jimenez. Wolves’ inability to score enough goals has become a great concern for Nuno Espirito Santos.

They are winless in their last five Premier League matches, although they have managed to progress in the FA Cup. A 1-0 loss at Manchester United was followed by a disappointing 3-3 draw at Brighton. Wolves led 3-1 at half time but let the match slip in the second half.

Wolves did win their next match 1-0 at home against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup. But they faltered again in their last match as Everton managed a 2-1 victory at Molineux.

Ruben Neves equalsed after Everton took an early lead, but Michael Keane stole it for the visitors 13 minutes from the end. Espirito Santos will see this match against West Brom as the perfect opportunity to get their season back on track.

Wolves are suffering with injuries, especially in attacking areas.

Raul Jimenez remains out with a fractured skull. Adama Traore and Daniel Podence have joined him on the treatment table.

In defence, Willy Boly is still recovering from a thigh injury with Marcal also out.

West Brom Form


West Brom are second bottom of the Premier League on eight points and if results don’t change soon, they will be back in the Championship next season.

Sam Allardyce was appointed as West Brom managed after the Baggies had managed a 1-1 draw at Manchester City in Slaven Bilic's final game. 

Allardyce's first game in charge saw Albion go down 3-0 against Aston Villa at home.

That was followed by a very impressive 1-1 draw at Liverpool but the result didn’t offer West Brom the bounce they hoped for. The Baggies lost 5-0 to Leeds and 4-0 to Arsenal in their next two matches (both at home).

In their last match, West Brom drew 2-2 with Blackpool in the FA Cup but lost out to the League One club on penalties.

West Brom’s most creative player Conor Gallagher is suspended for this match. That should see Jake Livermore start in midfield.

There are also injuries to Conor Townsend and forwards Karlan Grant and Half Robson-Kanu.
