West Brom Form

West Brom remain in the Premier League relegation zone after winning one of their opening 15 matches. They lost 2-1 at Newcastle before picking up a point in a 1-1 draw at Manchester City.

The Baggies hardly looked like scoring at the Emirates with manager Slaven Bilic sacked not long after. Sam Allardyce took over and saw his side lose 3-0 at home against Aston Villa with midfielder Jake Livermore sent off in the 37th minute.

West Brom picked up a confidence building 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. Despite having 22% possession, they capitalised on wastefulness from the Reds and equalised through Semi Ajayi in the 82nd minute.

West Brom Team News

Left back Conor Townsend is injured and midfielder Jake Livermore remains suspended.

Centre back Kyle Bartley and forward Hal Robson-Kanu are doubtful.

Leeds Form

Leeds have been struggling for consistency this season but have won two of their last three matches. A 2-1 defeat at home against West Ham was followed by a 5-2 home win against Newcastle.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side created plenty of chances at Elland Road with goals to Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo, Stuart Dallas, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison. The Whites had 64% possession, 25-10 shots and 2.95-1.44 expected goals.

Leeds then suffered a 6-2 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Raphinha assisted both goals for Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas but they were never in the game, trailing 2-0 after three minutes.

Leeds bounce back with a 1-0 home win against Burnley on Sunday. Patrick Bamford scored an early penalty, his 10th goal of the season.

Leeds Team News

Centre-back Robin Koch and right back Gaetano Berardi are injured alongside midfielders Adam Forshaw and Diego Llorente.

Central defender Liam Cooper suffered an injury at Old Trafford and is doubtful.

Head to Head

Leeds have a 36-33 advantage against West Brom with 19 draws in 89 matches.

They met in the Championship last season with Leeds winning 1-0 at home before a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns.

Verdict

West Brom v Leeds

West Brom’s dug in at Anfield and earned an unlikely draw, but are likely to get sucked into an open contest at home against Leeds. That could suit the visitors who have more attacking weapons.
