Swansea vs Man City Betting Tips

Swansea continued their impressive Championship form at the weekend, getting the better of EFL Championship leaders Norwich at the Liberty Stadium.

A 2-0 win for the Swans came courtesy of goals from Andre Ayew and Conor Hourihane. After picking up a vital win over their promotion rivals, the South Wales outfit are now unbeaten in their last eight league outings. 

Victory over Norwich means that Steve Cooper’s men have cut the deficit at the top to just two points. The Swans also possess a game in hand over leaders Norwich.

Friday night's success signified back-to-back wins in the Championship for Swansea. In their previous outing they earned a 3-1 away win at Rotherham. 

Centre midfielder Korey Smith has been recently ruled out with a quad injury and missed out on last weekend’s win over Norwich. 

Forward Liam Cullen has been ruled out for the next three months with an ankle injury, while goalkeeper Steven Benda is also out with an ankle problem.

Man City moved a huge step closer to regaining the Premier League title after getting the better of Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. They now find themselves five points clear of crosstown rivals Manchester United. 

Although City were gifted a couple of goals on Merseyside, there can be no doubt regarding the emphatic nature of their 4-1 success.

Ilkay Gündogan missed a first half penalty before opening the scoring after the break. Mo Salah equalised from the penalty spot, but that was as good as it got for Liverpool.

Gündogan profited from the first of Liverpool’s defensive blunders to put City back in front. Raheem Sterling made it 3-1 soon after and Phil Foden wrapped up a 10th successive win in the Premier League for Man City.

Full-back Kyle Walker could be handed a late fitness test with a view to a return on Wednesday.

Forward Sergio Aguero and centre-back Nathan Ake look once again set to miss out in midweek.
