Centre-back Marcos Rojo remains injured and striker Edinson Cavani is doubtful. The 33-year-old has until 4 January to respond after being charged with misconduct by the Football Association for an Instagram post.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson is likely to make way for David de Gea after his howler in Sheffield. 

Luke Shaw, Fred, Juan Mata and Scott McTominay and are in line to return to the starting side with Nemanja Matic and Mason Greenwood dropping to the bench.

Leeds Form


Leeds have been struggling for consistency this season. A 1-0 win at Everton was followed by a 3-1 defeat against Chelsea after Patrick Bamford put them ahead at Stamford Bridge.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side took the lead again at home against West Ham. Mateusz Klich converted an early penalty in a tough 2-1 defeat.

Leeds took their frustration out Newcastle with a 5-2 home win on Wednesday. Goals to Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo, Stuart Dallas, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison got it done in a match the dominated.

The Whites had 64% possession and 25-10 shots at Elland Road including 2.95-1.44 expected goals.

Centre-back Robin Koch and right back Gaetano Berardi are injured. Midfielder Adam Forshaw is doubtful and striker Diego Llorente is injured. 

Spanish attacking midfielder Pablo Hernández came off the bench against Newcastle and provided two assists. He could have earned a starting spot in Manchester.
