Everton Form

Everton meet Tottenham on the back of knocking out lower league opposition in the FA Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side needed extra time to get the better of Rotherham in the third round.

Sheffield Wednesday awaited them in the fourth round, and the Toffees put them to the sword. Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Yerry Mina secured a 3-0 win.

Everton come into this game on the back of a 3-3 draw at Old Trafford following a last-gasp Calvert-Lewin equaliser on Saturday.

Everton Team News

Jordan Pickford is likely to sit this one out again, as Robin Olsen continues to deputise in his absence.

Midfielder Allan could make his comeback from injury after a return to training last week. But playmaker James Rodriguez is a doubt.

Midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin remains sidelined, as his frustrating run of injuries continues.

Tottenham Form

Like their opponents, Tottenham have beaten lower league opposition twice to reach this stage of the FA Cup.

They defeated non-league Marine 5-0 in the third round, before sweeping aside Wycombe Wanderers in the last round with 4-1 win.

Spurs' cup record this season is formidable having already reached in the Carabao Cup final. However, it was at this stage they bowed out of the competition last season.

After losing three Premier League games in a row, Jose Mourinho's side got back to winning ways at home to West Brom on Sunday. A 2-0 win came courtesy of goals from Harry Kane and Heung Min Son.

Tottenham Team News

Harry Kane made an unexpected return to action on Sunday and is likely to keep his place in the side.

Dele Alli remains doubtful, while Sergio Reguilon and Giovani Lo Celso are still sidelined.

Gareth Bale could get a rare start, providing a much-needed rest to Heung Min Son.

Head to Head

Tottenham have the edge in recent history, beating Everton eight times in their last 16 clashes.

Everton have notched just one win in that time, but it came when these sides met in September. Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in a 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The last time these sides met in the FA Cup, Everton ran out 4-1 winners in April 1995.

Predictions

Everton are finding their feet again just at the right time. Spurs arrested their losing run against West Brom on Sunday, halting their alarming slide in recent weeks.

But even against a West Brom side who are marooned in the relegation zone, Tottenham's fragile defence was exposed and it’s hard to see past their backline leaking again.

  • Everton have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 matches (all competitions).
  • Tottenham have lost 3 of their last 4 matches (Premier League).
  • Tottenham have scored in 8 of their last 9 away matches (all competitions).
  • Tottenham have conceded in 6 of their last 7 matches (all competitions).

Verdict

Both of these sides will have an eye on a potential cup quarter final and I'm expecting goals. Everton are tipped to edge it against out of sorts Tottenham, with BTTS and Over 2.5 goals value.
