Lazio are back on track after an awkward patch of form which saw them drop points against Verona, Benevento and AC Milan. 

I Biancocelesti are unbeaten in their last three and have slowly moved closer towards the top four. A 1-1 draw with Genoa was followed by a much-needed 2-1 win at home to Fiorentina.

A goal inside the opening five minutes from forward Felipe Caicedo got Lazio going, before prolific talisman Ciro Immobile sealed the win with a 75th minute goal.

Lazio were then able to carry this momentum into their match against Parma whom they defeated 2-0 in their most recent game. Second half goals to midfielder Luis Alberto and Caicedo were enough to see Lazio earn the win and climb to within five points off fourth.

Lazio will once again be without Mohamed Fares, who has missed several weeks with a muscular injury.

Meanwhile, veteran Marco Parolo returned to training last week and was unused substitute in Lazio’s win at Parma. 

Roma Form


Roma head into this derby unbeaten in their last four matches. 

A 3-1 win away to Crotone capped off three consecutive wins for I Giallorossi, with striker Borja Mayoral scoring a first half brace before a Henrikh Mkhitaryan penalty put the game to bed.

A big test then awaited Roma when they hosted in-form Inter.

After Roma opened the scoring through Lorenzo Pellegrinni, Inter hit back with two second goals.

But Roma would have the final say when defender Gianluca Mancini’s glancing header found its way home to earn I Giallorossi a point in a 2-2 draw.

In positive news for Roma, winger Leonardo Spinazzola returned to the starting line-up against Inter having recovered from injury. 

Full-back Davide Santon is also a chance to return after recent tests showed no signs of an injury, though he is yet to resume full training with the group. 

Meanwhile, Pedro Rodriguez will miss another week as he nurses a muscular injury.
