Juventus Form

Juventus recently won three matches in Serie A including 4-1 against Udinese, 3-1 at AC Milan and 3-1 against Sassuolo.

The Old Lady took a 2-0 lead against Genoa in the Coppa Italia but let the lead slip. Juventus needed an extra time goal from Hamza Rafia to progress.

Andrea Pirlo’s side then produced their worst performance of the season in a 2-0 defeat at Inter Milan. They were lethargic in attack could only manage 0.37 expected goals.

Juventus bounced back with a 2-0 win against Napoli in the Italian Super Cup. Ronaldo opened the scoring and Álvaro Morata wrapped it up after Napoli missed a penalty.

Juventus’ last match was a 2-0 home win against Bolgona. Arthur and Weston McKennie scored in a match where they had 11-2 shots on target and 3.52-0.43 expected goals.

Expect goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, midfielders Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey and winger Federico Chiesa to start here. Alvaro Morata should also return to the starting side.

SPAL are sitting 5th in Serie B as they seek a swift return to the top flight. They had some problems scoring in December but have corrected that in 2021.

Pasquale Marino’s side lost two straight matches to end 2020, but started the new year with a 2-1 win at Frosinone thanks to a late Alberto Paloschi goal.

SPAL produced a bign upset in the Coppa Italia, winning 2-0 at Sassuolo. The hosts were reduced to 10 men and SPAL capitalised with goals to Simone Missiroli and Lorenzo Dickmann.

SPAL returned to Serie B with a 2-0 home win against Reggiana. They drew 1-1 at Cremonese on Sunday, Alberto Paloschi opening the scoring before conceding a late equaliser.

SPAL Team News

SPAL winger Federico Di Francesco picked up an injury against Sassuolo and is doubtful.

39-year-old striker and captain Sergio Floccari lasted 26 minutes against Cremonese. With Marco Tumminello injured, expect Alberto Paloschi to lead the line here.

Juventus have a 28-3 advantage against SPAL with 12 draws in 43 matches.
