Liverpool sit four points clear at the top of the Premier League table as they attempt to defend their title. The Reds won 2-1 at home against Tottenham with Mohamed Salah opening the scoring and Roberto Firmino heading home the winner in the 90th minute.

Jürgen Klopp’s side then went to Selhurst Park and registered a crushing 7-0 win against Crystal Palace.

Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino were on target before half time. Jordan Henderson made it 4-0 with Firmino getting his second and Salah scoring twice in the last 10 minutes.

Liverpool are still missing injured centre backs Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez. Left back Kostas Tsimikas is also out.

Midfielders James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri are injured but Thiago Alcantara is getting closer to a return. Portuguese forward Diogo Jota misses out with a bruised knee.

West Brom Form

West Brom are in the relegation zone after winning one of their opening 14 Premier League matches. A 5-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace came after Matheus Pereira’s red card in the 34th minute.

The Baggies lost 2-1 at Newcastle before picking up a point in a 1-1 draw at Manchester City. West Brom hardly looked like scoring at the Emirates with the board sacking manager Slaven Bilic in the following days.

Sam Allardyce took over and saw his side lose 3-0 at home against Aston Villa in his first match in charge. Midfielder Jake Livermore was sent off in the 37th minute with West Brom managing just one shot.

West Brom left back Conor Townsend is injured and midfielder Jake Livermore is suspended.

Centre back Kyle Bartley is doubtful with Branislav Ivanovic a chance to start in central defence.
