Filip Petrusev, a member of the Serbian national team and former Crvena Zvezda player, has signed a three-year deal with EuroLeague newcomer Dubai.

The ambitious team from the United Arab Emirates may have finalized its roster with this move, leaving head coach Jurica Golemac with the task of putting together a strong unit of highly skilled players.

Petrusev has already shared his first impressions, stating that he is excited about this new project and can’t wait to take on the challenges at Coca-Cola Arena.

Since he played for Crvena Zvezda on loan from Olympiacos, the Greek club was entitled to compensation, which in this case amounted to €500,000.

The 25-year-old from Belgrade previously played for Gonzaga University, then Mega, Efes, Crvena Zvezda, and Olympiacos, with a brief stint in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings.

Last season, wearing the Crvena Zvezda jersey, he averaged 13.5 points and 5 rebounds per game.
