Rublev Survives Major Scare Against World No. 123 Nava in Los Cabos Quarterfinals
Top seed Andrey Rublev survived a rollercoaster quarterfinal clash in Los Cabos, edging past world No. 123 Emilio Nava 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in a tense three-set battle that tested the Russian’s nerves and resilience.
First Set: Rublev Loses Grip After Strong Start
Rublev broke early to lead 4-1, seemingly in full control. But a collapse followed, as Nava broke back and completed a stunning comeback. Rublev lost serve two times in the set and failed to convert a 5-4 lead, eventually dropping the opener 5-7.

Third Set: Rublev Steadies, Nava Fades
In the decider, Rublev tightened his game. He went up 3-0 quickly and never relinquished control. Nava had no break points in the set, while Rublev converted one of three to close out the 6-3 win after two hours of nervy tennis.
