Copenhagen begin their Danish Superliga title defence with a trip to Viborg on the opening weekend.

The champions had a mixed preseason but tend to kick on once the campaign starts. They boast a solid record in this fixture and should claim the upper hand on Friday.

Viborg had a disappointing 2024-25 campaign as they failed to make the championship playoffs. They will be keen to put all of that behind them and looked solid in preseason, winning their last two matches, including a 2-0 victory over Aalborg in their final warm-up game.

The problem for Viborg coming into the new season is that their coaching position remains vacant following Jakob Poulsen’s departure at the end of last season.
