Sevilla will look to build on their first win of the season when they host Elche in a Friday night Spanish La Liga fixture.

The visitors are enjoying a fine start to the season and will head into this clash with plenty of confidence. They can do enough to avoid defeat against the hosts, who remain unconvincing at home.

Sevilla come into this clash off the back of a 2-0 victory at Girona Last time out in La Liga. They led at the break through an effort from Alfonso Gonzalez before Isaac Romero sealed the win in the second half.

That was the first win of the season for Sevilla, who began their campaign with two straight defeats. Manager Matias Almeyda will be keen to use that result as a springboard for resurgence, but the hosts are winless in seven of their last eight La Liga home matches.

Elche have settled quickly to life in the Spanish topflight as they are unbeaten after three matches. Eder Sarabia's team are currently in the top half of the table and will be keen to maintain their momentum.

Having begun their campaign with two straight draws, Elche claimed a 2-0 home victory over Levante last time out for their first win of the season. The 1-1 scoreline at Atletico Madrid also maintains a solid away record, having gone unbeaten in six of their last seven competitive matches on the road, stretching back to last season in the Segunda Division.

Elche have played with confidence so far, scoring in all three matches, which have produced a range of 2-3 goals. However, like the hosts, they also need to tighten up at the back, having failed to keep a clean sheet in two of their fixtures this term.
