Roma are aiming to build on their win in match-day one when they host Lille in their second league phase fixture in the UEFA Europa League.

The French side are also looking to kick on from their opening day win, but have been a bit off colour lately. They should find things difficult against the in-form Italians, who are expected to claim the upper hand.

Roma began their Europa League campaign with a victory over another French side as they beat Nice 2-1 away from home. They went two goals up after the break through Evan Ndicka and Gianluca Mancini and were able to hold on despite the hosts pulling one back.

That result is part of a solid run for Roma, who have won their last three matches across all competitions. They will head into this clash off the back of a 2-0 victory over Verona in an Italian Serie A fixture last Sunday.

Roma have shown some attacking quality this season and have scored first in four of their last five matches across all competitions. Gian Piero Gasperini's team have also scored over 1.5 goals in the last two fixtures on this run.

Lille also began their campaign with a win as they claimed a 2-1 home victory over Brann. Hamza Igamane opened the scoring after the break, while Olivier Giroud scored the winner following an equaliser from the visitors.

The task for Lille will be to build on that opening-day win, but their recent form has been a bit underwhelming. They have lost two of their last three matches and were beaten 1-0 at home by Lyon in Ligue 1 last weekend.

Lille are unconvincing on their travels and are winless in two of their last three away matches. Bruno Genesio's team have also struggled for goals lately, failing to score in two of their last three matches across all competitions.
