Osasuna will take plenty of confidence from their performance last season, as they finished in the top half of the table. They ended the season in good form, going unbeaten in their final four La Liga matches.

Transfer activity has been sparse at Osasuna, with winger Victor Munoz the only major arrival this summer. Preseason was also unconvincing, with Alessio Lisci’s team winning just once in six matches and playing out a 2-2 with Freiburg in their final warm-up game.

Osasuna often adopt an open style of play, which leaves them exposed at the back but often makes for a thrilling encounter. Three of their last four matches across all competitions have produced over 2.5 goals.

Real Madrid are often dominant against Osasuna and are unbeaten in the last 12 meetings, picking up eight wins on this run. Los Blancos eased to a 4-0 victory in last season's home clash.

Real Madrid have superior quality over Osasuna and should come out on top once again. Having earned a win and over 2.5 goals in five of the last six meetings, a similar outcome is expected here.
