Real Madrid host Manchester City in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, with both teams maintaining their push for the top eight.

Los Blancos are aiming to bounce back from a defeat at the weekend while Manchester City are also looking to move on from their match-day five disappointment. Both teams will be up for this one, and given their attacking quality, goals could be expected.

The Citizens often do their best work at home and have been a bit erratic on their travels this season. They have claimed three wins and suffered two defeats in their last five away matches across all competitions.

Led by Erling Haaland, who has found the net five times in the competition, Manchester City have no problems going forward. Two of the last three matches for Pep Guardiola's team have produced over 3.5 goals.

Real Madrid have six wins while Manchester City have been victorious five times, with four draws in the last 16 matches. Los Blancos did the double when both teams met in the round of 16 last season, earning a 3-2 away victory before winning 3-1 at home in the second leg.

It is usually a goalfest between these two sides, with four of their last five meetings producing over 3.5 goals. Wednesday's clash is set to be another open contest, and a similar outcome could be on the cards.
