Real Madrid are aiming to stay perfect in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League when they host Juventus on Wednesday.

Los Blancos have been almost unstoppable this season and also boast a 100% record at home so far. They should have too much for the Turin side, who are out of sorts at the moment.

Real Madrid are enjoying a fine start to the season and have won their opening two matches in the Champions League. They began with a 2-1 home victory over Marseille before easing to a 5-0 victory at Kairat Almaty in their previous fixture.

Los Blancos will head into Wednesday's clash off the back of a 1-0 victory at Getafe in a La Liga fixture last weekend to make it 10 wins from 11 matches across all competitions this season. Xabi Alonso's team have also won all five of their home matches so far.

Kylian Mbappe remains the major threat for Real Madrid, and the forward already has five Champions League goals in just two matches. Real Madrid have a habit of leaving things late and have produced more second-half goals in four of their last five matches across all competitions.

Juventus News

Juventus were held to a 2-2 draw at Villarreal last time out in the Champions League. They came from behind to lead through Federico Gatti and Francisco Conceicao, but went on to concede an injury-time equaliser.

That result means Juventus are still without a win in this season's Champions League, having played out a 4-4 home draw with Borussia Dortmund in their opening fixture. Igor Tudor’s team are also winless in their last six matches across all competitions and were beaten 2-0 at Como in a Serie A fixture last weekend.

Like the hosts, Juventus also have a habit of leaving things till after the break. This trait has seen their two Champions League matches produce more goals in the second half.

Real Madrid and Juventus have seven wins each, with two draws in the last 16 matches. The Spaniards claimed a 1-0 victory when both teams met in the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup back in July.

Real Madrid have been imperious this season and have won their last five home matches. They should get the better of Juventus, who are winless in their last six fixtures across all competitions.

Mbappe is looking almost unstoppable at the moment, and having scored five Champions League goals already, could be backed to find the net once again. With both teams often getting active after the break, the second half is likely to produce more goals.
