PSG will be aiming to strengthen their lead at the top of the table when they welcome Strasbourg for a Friday night French Ligue 1 fixture.

The visitors are also having a fine season and are eyeing top spot. However, the Parisians are often superior in this fixture and given their solid record on home soil, should claim the upper hand once again.

PSG News

PSG are coming off a 1-1 draw at Lille in their previous Ligue 1 fixture. After labouring for much of the first half, PSG took the lead through Nuno Mendes but were unable to hold on and were pegged back five minutes from time.

The good news for PSG is that they have lost just once across all competitions this season and will be keen to increase their one-point lead at the top of the table. Luis Enrique’s team have also won all four of their home matches across all competitions this season.

PSG remain solid going forward and have scored the first goal in the first half in their last three home matches. However, they are without a clean sheet in three of their last four fixtures across all competitions.

Strasbourg News

Strasbourg also have reasons to be pleased with their campaign so far as they sit third in the table. Liam Rosenior's team have only lost twice in the league this season and can go top if results go their way this weekend.

The visitors were in rampant form last time out in Ligue 1 as they eased to a 5-0 home victory over Angers. Joaquin Panichelli and Martial Godo each netted a brace while Abdoul Ouattara was also on target.

Goals have flowed freely for Strasbourg, who have scored in all seven of their Ligue 1 matches so far. However, they are without a clean sheet in their last four away matches across all competitions, all of which have produced over 2.5 goals.

Head to Head

PSG have 16 wins and six draws, while Strasbourg have only picked up three victories in the last 25 matches. The Parisians claimed a 4-2 victory in last season’s home clash.
