The Netherlands are aiming to maintain their unbeaten record in Group G of the UEFA World Cup qualifiers when they host Finland on Sunday.

The Dutch have been imperious lately, easing to a number of comfortable victories in recent matches. They should be too strong for the Finns, who often find things difficult on their travels.

The Netherlands head into Sunday's clash off the back of a 4-0 away victory over Malta in their previous fixture. Cody Gakpo scored twice from the penalty spot while Tijjani Reijnders and Memphis Depay were also on target.

That result means the Netherlands are still unbeaten after five matches in Group G, claiming four wins on this run. Ronald Koeman's team are three points clear at the top of the standings, while an 8-0 victory over Malta is also part of their recent home results.

That was a timely return to winning ways for Finland, who had lost their previous two matches across all competitions. Jacob Friis' team have now earned three wins and a draw from six matches in Group G and are just three points off the pace in the table.

One issue for Finland lately is their poor record on their travels as they are winless in nine of their last 10 away matches across all competitions. They have been beaten seven times on this run and have also failed to score in four of their last seven away matches.

The Netherlands have never lost in this fixture, with 11 wins and a draw from 12 previous matches against Finland. The Dutch earned a 2-0 away victory in the reverse fixture back in June.

The Netherlands are prolific going forward and, having scored over 2.5 goals in three of their last four matches, a repeat could be on the cards. The hosts have also won to nil in three of their last five matches, and with Belarus struggling for goals on their travels, a similar outcome could be considered.

The Dutch have earned their share of one-sided results lately and recently claimed an 8-0 home victory over Malta. They will be confident of producing something similar against Finland, who are poor on their travels.
