Napoli welcome Atalanta to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for an Italian Serie A fixture, with both teams looking to bounce back from recent struggles.

The visitors are hoping for some new manager bounce, but could find things difficult against the champions. The Neapolitans have maintained a solid home record all season and will be confident of coming out on top here.

Napoli’s title defence stalled a little prior to the international break as they went on a three-match winless run across all competitions. Antonio Conte's team suffered a 2-0 defeat at Bologna in their previous Serie A fixture.

One positive for Napoli is that they have not fallen too far behind in the title race, sitting just two points off the pace. They are also unbeaten across all competitions at home this season, with a 3-1 victory over leaders Inter Milan among their results.

Napoli often look to settle quickly and have scored first in three of their last five Serie A matches. Four of those five league fixtures have also produced over 2.5 goals.

Atalanta News

Atalanta have endured a difficult campaign so far, with just two wins from 11 Serie A matches. Manager Ivan Juric has paid the price for the poor start, with Raffaele Palladino appointed new boss during the international break.

The Bergamo club travel to Naples off the back of a 3-0 home defeat to Sassuolo in their previous Serie A fixture. They were punished for being wasteful in attack and were also far too open at the back.

The first task for Palladino will be to stem the tide of poor results as he heads into his first game in charge. However, Atalanta have a disappointing record on their travels and are winless in four of their last five Serie A away matches.

Napoli have six wins while Atalanta have been victorious five times, with one draw in the last 12 matches. The hosts claimed a 3-2 away victory in the last meeting between both teams.

Napoli v Atalanta

Napoli will be targeting a fast start on Saturday, and having opened the scoring in three of their last five home matches in the league, could be backed to grab the first goal here. Nine of the last 10 matches between the teams have produced over 2.5 goals, which is likely to be the outcome here.

Atalanta look out of sorts at the moment and may take a while to settle under the new manager. Meanwhile, Napoli are unbeaten at home this season and are likely to claim the upper hand here.
