Manchester City welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Etihad Stadium for an English Premier League fixture with both teams looking to build on opening weekend victories.

Both sides impressed going forward last weekend and could be set for an open contest. However, the Citizens will be keen to put on a show in front of the home fans, and with Erling Haaland already in imperious form, they should claim the victory here.

That was a solid start to Thomas Frank's tenure as manager and a fine return to winning ways, having lost the UEFA Super Cup to PSG only days before. One thing the manager still needs to improve from last season is Tottenham’s away form, having failed to win their last six Premier League away matches, suffering five defeats on this run.

Among the many positives for Tottenham in the opening game is the understanding between Mohammed Kudus and Richarlison, which could be a consistent source of goals. However, they remain unconvincing at the back and are without a clean sheet in three of their last four matches across all competitions.
