It has been a typically turbulent start to the season for Manchester United, so, surprisingly, they come into the derby sitting above their city rivals in the table. Manager Ruben Amorim will be keen to build on the victory over Burnley but his team still do not travel well having failed to win their two away matches across all competitions this season.

One issue that persists for Manchester United is their shaky backline, that is without a clean sheet in their four matches across all competitions this season. However, they have scored in the last three matches on this run, while the last two fixtures have produced over 2.5 goals.

Manchester City have six wins while Manchester United have picked up four victories, with two draws in the last 12 matches. The visitors were unbeaten last season, winning 2-1 away at the Etihad before battling to a 0-0 home draw in the reverse fixture.

The Manchester Derby is often a thrilling contest, and given how the season has gone so far, both sides are likely to be fired up for this one. With both teams scoring in four of the last five matches and all four fixtures producing over 2.5 goals, a similar outcome could be expected here.

Haaland appears to be back to his best, scoring three goals this season while also finding the net five times for Norway in a win over Moldova. The striker also has six Premier League goals against Manchester United and is likely to get on the score sheet on Sunday.
