Erling Haaland’s form has been pivotal to Manchester City's showings this season, with the striker scoring 13 Premier League goals already. The striker leads an attack that has grabbed the opening goal in the last six home matches, while they have also scored over 1.5 goals in all six fixtures.

It has been a troubled campaign for Liverpool, who recently went on a run of six defeats in seven matches across all competitions. However, they remain third in the table, seven points off the pace, and will be keen to avoid falling further behind. 

The good news for Liverpool is that they appear to be showing signs of improvement lately, having won their last two matches. They claimed a 2-0 home victory over Aston Villa last time out in the Premier League before a 1-0 Champions League victory over Real Madrid.

Manager Arne Slot will be looking to spark a proper resurgence with those two results, but Liverpool’s record on the road remains troubling. They have lost four of their last five away matches across all competitions.
