Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Brentford for the transfer of Cameroon forward Bryan Mbeumo.
United will reportedly pay the Bees a fixed fee of £65 million plus add-ons of up to £6m, with both clubs agreeing to four instalments for the payment.
This follows a third and improved offer worth £70 million from United to Brentford on Thursday. The 20-time English champions had two previous bids rejected by the London club, but United were confident in their most recent offer for the forward.
The Cameroonian had given preference to the Red Devils all summer and finally gets his dream move to Old Trafford.
Mbeumo will depart Brentford after six seasons, having moved to the Gtech Community Stadium from French outfit Troyes in 2019. He helped them secure Premier League promotion in 2020-21 and was in inspired form last season, bagging 20 goals in 38 matches in the English top-flight.
He is set to undergo a medical later this week at United and will become their third summer signing, joining Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon. Barring any issues, Mbeumo is expected to join the United States leg of their preseason tour, which is part of the Premier League's Summer Series.
