Ivory Coast vs Burkina Faso

Ivory Coast continue the defence of their Africa Cup of Nations title as they battle Burkina Faso in a round of 16 clash at the Stade de Marrakech.

The Elephants held their own in a tricky group and appear to be growing in confidence as the tournament progresses. While the Stallions can also be pleased with their campaign so far, they often struggle against the top sides and face a tough outing on Tuesday.

It has been a solid campaign so far for Burkina Faso, who won two of their three group stage matches. They claimed a 2-0 victory over Sudan last time out, with Lassina Traore and Arsene Kouassi getting the goals.

While things have been smooth for Burkina Faso lately, they seem to find things difficult against the top sides. Their only defeat in this competition was a 1-0 loss to Algeria in their second group stage fixture.

They also have a knack for finding the net after the break and should score over 0.5 second-half goals on Tuesday, having played out a similar pattern in two of their three group stage fixtures.

Burkina Faso could make things tricky, but as seen in the defeat to Algeria, they often struggle against the top sides. Ivory Coast are expected to claim the win here and continue their title defence.
