Following a 2-0 victory in the first meeting, Hibernian return home for the second leg of their UEFA Conference League qualifier.

The Scottish side will aim to consolidate their lead while the Serbians will be keen to overturn the deficit. This could make for an open contest, and goals can be expected here.

Hibernian News

Hibernian held their own for much of the first leg and took advantage of an early red card to the Serbians. Goals in each half from Martin Boyle gave them a fine win on the road.

That result is part of a solid run for Hibernian, who are unbeaten in their last three matches, playing out a 2-2 home draw with Kilmarnock in a domestic fixture last weekend. However, David Gray’s team are a bit unconvincing in front of their fans and are winless in their last three home matches.

Hibernian may have kept a clean sheet in the first leg, but their defence is generally unconvincing, having conceded in eight of their last nine matches across all competitions. However, they have scored first in their last three matches, with two of those fixtures producing over 2.5 goals.

Partizan News

Partizan would have been stunned by the result in the first leg, having been in good form lately. They had made a solid start but capitulated after a first-half red card to Vukasin Djurdjevic.

That defeat will be considered a minor blip as Partizan have won five of their last six matches across all competitions. Srdjan Blagojevic's team have also won their last three away matches, including a 7-2 victory at Napredak in a domestic fixture last weekend.

As evidenced by the result at Napredak, Partizan have no problems in attack, scoring in eight of their last 10 matches across all competitions. However, they are without a clean sheet in their last three matches, while three of their last four fixtures have produced over 2.5 goals.

Head to Head

There were no meetings prior to last week's first leg clash, which ended 2-0 in favour of Hibernian.

Verdict

Partizan will head into Thursday's clash believing that the first leg result can be overturned and are expected to play on the front foot. Hibernian will look to catch them in the break, and with neither defence convincing at the moment, both teams are expected to score here.

Three of Partizan's last four matches have produced over 2.5 goals, which is likely to be the outcome here. With Hibernian scoring first in their last three fixtures, they are likely to grab the opening goal on Thursday.
