It is an all-Scandinavian affair in the third round of the UEFA Europa League as Hacken host Brann in the first leg on Thursday.

Both teams will be keen to claim the upper hand here, but come into this clash battling inconsistency. They often struggle to maintain their discipline at the back and could be set to serve up goals in this one.

Hacken secured their place in this clash after claiming a 3-2 aggregate victory over Anderlecht in the previous round. Having suffered a 1-0 away defeat in the first leg, they returned home for a 3-1 win in the second meeting.

That second leg win was a rare moment to cheer for Hacken, who are winless in five of their last six matches across all competitions. The Swedes are also winless in three of their last four home matches, including a 2-1 defeat to Elfsborg in a domestic fixture last weekend.

One of the issues for Hacken is a lack of discipline at the back, having failed to keep a clean sheet in six of their last seven matches across all competitions. Things have been rough for Brann lately as they are winless in three of their last four matches across all competitions. Freyr Alexandersson's men are also winless in four of their last five away matches, but claimed a 4-1 victory at Sarpsborg in a Norwegian Eliteserien clash last weekend.

Like the hosts, Brann also struggle to keep things tight at the back and are without a clean sheet in nine of their last 10 matches across all competitions. However, they have scored in eight of those fixtures, while six matches on this run have produced over 2.5 goals.
