Everton are aiming to bounce back from a difficult week, when they welcome West Ham to Hill Dickinson Stadium for a Monday night English Premier League fixture.

It has been a solid enough start to the season for the Toffees, with the new stadium proving to be a fortress so far. They should get the better of the Hammers, who have been completely out of sorts this term.

Everton News

Everton are coming off a difficult week, having lost their last two matches across all competitions. First, they were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby before falling 2-0 at Wolves in a midweek EFL Cup clash.

Manager David Moyes will be keen to snap out of that slump, and the good news for Everton is that both results were on the road. The Toffees return to Hill Dickinson Stadium, where they are unbeaten this season, with two wins and a draw from three matches so far.

Everton have shown some attacking quality, scoring in four of their last six matches across all competitions. However, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four matches, with two of those fixtures producing over 2.5 goals.

West Ham News

While the hosts are simply looking to bounce back from a tough week, things are much darker at West Ham at the moment. There have been protests staged against the board, who have decided to part with manager Graham Potter.

All of this stems from the fact that West Ham have suffered five defeats from their opening six matches across all competitions this season. They will head to Merseyside off the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace last time out in the Premier League.

Among the problems for West Ham is a vulnerable backline that has failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last six matches, with all six fixtures producing over 2.5 goals. However, they have scored in four of their last five matches across all competitions.

Head to Head

West Ham have six wins while Everton have picked up four victories, with two draws in the last 12 matches. Last season’s Premier League meetings ended in draws, while the Hammers claimed a 2-1 victory in a preseason friendly in July.

Verdict

West Ham have plenty of problems at the moment and could be in for a tough time against Everton, who are solid at home. Having gone unbeaten in front of their fans this season, the Toffees are expected to secure the win here.

Both teams have scored in three of their last four meetings, and a repeat is on the cards here. With all six of West Ham's matches this season producing over 2.5 goals, a similar outcome is expected on Monday.
