Algeria are aiming to stay perfect in Group E of the Africa Cup of Nations when they face Equatorial Guinea at the Stade Prince Moulay Hassan.

The Fennecs are enjoying a fine campaign in Morocco and are led by Riyad Mahrez. They should have too much quality for Nzalang Nacional, who have been below their best in this tournament.

Equatorial Guinea suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sudan in their previous Group E fixture. A drab encounter was settled midway through the second half after Saul Coco put through his own net.

Nzalang Nacional have now lost their two matches in the group after falling 2-1 to Burkina Faso in their opening fixture. Manager Juan Micha will be targeting one of the spots for the best third-placed teams, but the Equatoguineans must win on Wednesday to stand a chance.

Algeria head into Wednesday's final group game off the back of a 1-0 victory over Burkina Faso last time out. They were made to work hard for the win, with Mahrez’s first-half penalty proving the difference.

The Fennecs now sit at the top of the table with two wins from as many matches, having begun their campaign with a 3-0 victory over Sudan. Vladimir Petkovic's team are through to the round of 16 but will be keen to maintain their momentum.

Algeria often make fast starts and have scored first in their two matches in Group E. The North Africans have also scored at least one first-half goal in both fixtures.
