Everton have two games in hand on most teams above them and winning both would put them in the top 4, but they need an improvement in form.

The Toffees have been in stumbling of late. A dramatic comeback in a 3-3 draw with Manchester United and a 5-4 extra-time FA Cup win over Tottenham are sandwiched in between defeats at home to strugglers Newcastle and Fulham.

Everton come into this game on the back of a dismal 2-0 defeat to Fulham. Josh Maja got both goals for the relegation threatened side.

Despite not scoring against Fulham last time out, Everton still have 10 goals in their last 4 games. But an injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin has seriously blunted their attacking edge.

Inability to keep a clean sheet has also been an issue for Carlo Ancelotti's side. They have not kept one in seven league games, conceding 11 in that time.

Top scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and playmaker James Rodriguez are all doubts.

Midfielder Allan returned to the bench against Fulham and he could be brought back into the starting line-up.

Man City Form

Table topping City have 16 straight victories in all competitions and are undefeated in 23 games. They look in no mood to slow down.

Pep Guardiola's side have been relentless in scoring two or more goals in six of the last seven league games. They have kept clean sheets in seven of the last eight league games.

The run continued on Saturday with a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Tottenham. Rodri opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Ilkay Gündogan got two.

Gündogan has been the unlikely goal scoring hero of late and now has 11 goals in his last 12 matches in the Premier League.

City have won nine in a row away from home, including 4-1 wins over Arsenal and Liverpool and a 3-1 success at Chelsea.

The absence of Kevin De Bruyne has been scarily unnoticeable, and he looks set to sit out again.

Ilkay Gündogan is a doubt with a groin issue and will face a late fitness test ahead of the trip to Goodison.
