The title is on the line as Spain battle England in the final of the UEFA European Women's Championship.

Both teams have been the best sides in this competition and are deserving of a place in the final. However, the Spaniards have enjoyed a smoother ride and should have the upper hand over the Lionesses, who have had to labour sometimes.

England needed extra time before claiming a 2-1 victory over Italy in the semi-final. They fell behind midway through the first half and trailed for much of the contest before Michelle Agyemang struck an injury-time equaliser and Chloe Kelly netted the winner.

This is the third straight major final for England, who have become a force under Sarina Wiegman and are looking to retain their European title. Another worrying thing for England is that they had to come from behind in their last two matches, a feat that could be difficult against top sides. They do have a knack for finding their way back into games, and all three of their goals in the last two matches have come after the break.

Spain come into this clash looking to complete the title set in women's football. They are the current world champions and UEFA Women's Nations League holders, and a victory on Sunday will underline their dominance in this era.

It has been a smooth ride to the final for Spain, who have won every match in the competition. Tome Montserrat's team have not been taken to penalties in this tournament and only needed extra-time once, during the 1-0 win over Germany in the semi-final.

Led by Esther Gonzalez and Claudia Pina, who have a combined six goals so far, Spain have looked sharp going forward in this competition. They have scored first in four of their five matches, while five of their six goals have come after the break.
