That result followed a familiar pattern for Liverpool, having led in all seven fixtures across all competitions. However, they have conceded in five of those matches, which have all produced over 2.5 goals.

Manager Arne Slot will be pleased to see Alexander Isak get off the mark as the striker opened the scoring in the 2-1 EFL Cup victory over Southampton. However, Ekitike was sent off late in the contest and is now set to miss Saturday's clash.
