Liverpool will put their 100% record on the line when they travel to Turf Moor for an English Premier League clash against Burnley.

The newly promoted side are still adjusting to life in the top flight, and it does not get harder than a clash against the reigning champions. The Reds are expected to have too much quality here and should claim the upper hand on Sunday.

It has been a tough start to the season for Burnley, who are set to face one of the traditional big six for the third time in four matches. Scott Parker's team have picked up just one win and suffered two defeats in the three matches played so far.

Liverpool went into the international break off the back of a 1-0 home victory over Arsenal last time out in the league. It was a cagey affair throughout and looked to be headed for a draw before Dominik Szoboszlai’s late free-kick sealed the win.

That was the third straight win for Liverpool, who are living up to their status as Premier League champions. They have scored in both halves in two of their three league matches and bolstered an already formidable attack with the acquisition of Alexander Isak on deadline day.

Liverpool often like to settle early and have scored the opening goal in the first half in two of their three matches. Two of the three fixtures for Arne Slot's team have also produced over 2.5 goals.

Liverpool have nine wins and two draws, while Burnley have been victorious just once in the last 12 matches. The Reds claimed a 2-0 away win on their last Premier League visit to Turf Moor back in 2023.

Liverpool are expected to claim their fourth straight victory, and having earned a win and over 2.5 goals in two of their three fixtures, a repeat is on the cards.

Liverpool have scored the opening goal in the first half while also finding the net in both halves in two of their three matches. This clash is likely to follow a similar pattern.
