Bournemouth have completed the signing of goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea in a £25 million deal.

The 25-year-old joins the Cherries on a five-year contract and becomes their third summer signing following the arrivals of Eli Junior Kroupi and Adrien Truffert.

"I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and I want to play at the best level," said Petrovic.
"Together with this club, with these facilities, I think we can achieve it. I want to help the team get the results, improve every day and be a better player."

Petrovic joined Chelsea in a £14m deal from MLS side New England in August 2023. However, he spent last season on loan at Strasbourg, earning Player of the Season honours after helping them finish seventh in the French Ligue 1 and securing a place in the UEFA Conference League.

The Serb, who made 31 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, is expected to be Bournemouth's first-choice goalie next season as the Cherries look to build on their success from last term, where they finished a record ninth in the Premier League.
