Chelsea have continued their summer swoop as the Blues have agreed a fee worth £60 million to sign Brazilian forward Joao Pedro from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Pedro has reportedly agreed to sign a seven-year contract with the UEFA Conference League winners, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2032.
The 23-year-old is expected to undergo a medical on Tuesday before joining up with the rest of the Chelsea team in the United States, where they are currently participating at the FIFA Club World Cup.
He joins the Blues after spending two years at Brighton, scoring 30 goals and providing 10 assists in 70 matches for the Seagulls, including 10 goals in 27 Premier League games last season.
Pedro joins the Blues after spending two years at Brighton following a then-club-record move of £30 million from Watford. He scored 30 goals and provided 10 assists in 70 matches for the Seagulls, including 10 goals in 27 Premier League games last season.
His move to the six-time English champions comes a day after an agreement was struck with Borussia Dortmund to sign English winger Jamie Gittens for £55 million.
Pedro will become Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer, joining the likes of Dario Essugo, Liam Delap and Mamadou Sarr.
